Like other tiny homemakers, Nestron skyrocketed in popularity during the coronavirus pandemic, and over half of its clients are currently based in the US.
Smart tiny home maker Nestron has unveiled the Legend Two X, a $98,000 tiny home with three design options.
The Legend Two X is the third home in the popular “Legend” tiny home series, which includes the 167.92-square-foot Legend One, and the 274.48-square-foot Legend Two. The Legend Two X will be the largest of the series, sitting at around 359.51 square-feet.
“The decision to design the Legend series was because we wanted to cater to clients who are interested in traditional container or cabin-style tiny houses,” Choco Toh of Nestron’s marketing team told Business Insider in an email interview in October.
The Legend tiny home collection has become wildly popular since Nestron introduced it to the market, according to its maker, falling in line with the tiny home trend that started sprouting up during the coronavirus pandemic.
IPX1031, a research group and Fidelity National Financial subsidiary, recently surveyed 2,006 people to measure the US population’s interest in tiny homes. Over half of the respondents said they would consider living in a tiny home, and of the respondents who weren’t yet homeowners, 86% said they would consider buying a tiny unit as their first home.
As a result, businesses like backyard shed makers and solar-powered appliance startups have started pivoting to build tiny homes in order to capitalize on this mini living boom. But unlike these shifting companies, Nestron has already claimed its stake in the rising tiny living movement.
Nestron decided to expand its Legend series to provide more options for its customers.
The new Legend Two X is $54,000 more expensive than the original Legend Two.
According to Toh, this price raise can be attributed to several factors: the use of greener construction methods, the home’s improved artificial intelligence system, and the larger space. It’s important to note that this price also includes the shipping fee.
According to an email interview with Toh, the Legend Two X was “part of something from the design vault” of different Nestron ideas that have been created throughout the years.
Different tiny home ideas from this vault will be released as the company continues to grow.
However, this growth seems inevitable for the Singapore-based company.
According to Toh, the company has now become a “worldwide phenomenon.”
For a while, the Nestron’s website was down, likely due to the influx in webpage visits and growth towards “extremely overwhelming” popularity, Toh told Business Insider.
While Nestron is still able to meet current demands, it’s projecting an even greater growth by the end of 2021.
Due to this projected boost in demand, the company is now looking to establish further supply chain points in different countries to increase manufacturing.
Several companies have also reached out to Nestron to establish distributorships around the world.
“We believe we will have serving points internationally in a short period of time, allowing us to connect with our clients even better,” Toh wrote.
Over 50% of the company’s clients are based in the US, and the homes can be shipped via sea and freight.
It takes up to two hours to connect the Legend Two X to electric, water, and sewage points.
However, the home is move-in ready, so the moment the unit is set up, clients can start occupying the space.

The home will also have a “smart toilet,” although extra details about this system haven’t been announced yet.
The Legend Two X sits at 31.3 feet long, 11.48 feet wide, and 9.19 feet tall.
These dimensions hold a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining space, and a bathroom.
The rooms also come mostly furnished. For example, the kitchen comes with a sink and cabinets, although a full refrigerator and appliances aren’t included.
There’s also room for a washing machine in the kitchen.
Items like a toilet and washer and dryer aren’t included in the base price of the tiny home because Nestron “didn’t want to burden their clients with unforeseen or hidden tax prices” related to appliances, according to Toh.
Moving on, the living room has a dining table and sofa …
… while the bedroom has a closet, a workspace, and a bed frame.
The bathroom has the typical shower, towel rack, and sink.
Unlike the original Legend Two, the Legend Two X is available with three different design options: folksy, opulent, and lux.
Legend Two X folksy design was inspired by the “classic American architectural style,” according to Nestron.
To do this, Nestron gave the folksy a rustic look with light and warm tones throughout the build.
The inside of the folksy is mostly beige, white, and gold, according to renderings of the interior.
The Legend Two X opulent design deviates from this rustic look by appearing “modest, extravagant, and timeless,” according to the tiny home maker.
To do this, the team made the opulent design darker toned with metallic details, therefore invoking tranquil feelings.
According to renderings of the opulent, the interior is centered around grey, black, dark wood, and gold colors.
Finally, the lux design option appears, well, luxurious.
The Legend Two X lux has a modern and clean look by using silk and “delicate interior details” with contemporary styled furnishings.
The lux has marbled details with black, dark brown, and gold furnishings and accents.
