Oxford care home ‘requires improvement’, says watchdog

A Care residence in Oxford has received a significant report from a watchdog amid considerations about workers expertise of people’s requires and information keeping.

Cumnor Hill Household, which presently delivers personalized and nursing treatment to 56 people today, was rated as “requires improvement” by the Treatment Quality Commission just after an inspection.

The watchdog claimed the inspection was prompted in part due to worries been given about staffing, recruitment, medications management, information retaining, high-quality of care, staff know-how of people’s demands and administration of the property.

The report explained: “We had obtained fears of employees shortages and greater use of company team. We uncovered the household was employing a ton of company workers.

“We found staff members did not always know how to support individuals with hard requirements. For illustration, one individual dwelling on the device that was shut due to covid was distressed as they preferred to go to yet another unit.

“Nevertheless, we are steadfast in our commitment to making certain that any areas for improvement as set out in their inspection report are staying addressed swiftly and a programme for motion executed.”
